The Best Things To Do This Week

Looking for things to do this week in Indianapolis? Here's what's on deck for the week ahead:

Monday June 18

Mt. Joy w/ Saint Aubin @ HI-FI

There's something about Mt. Joy's music that begs us to hop in our cars and hit the highway, no destination in sight, to just experience something new. Experience the feeling at HI-FI on Monday night.

Russ @ Old National Centre

Russ' version of R&B is subdued and subliminal. Chill and reflect with him at Old National Centre on Monday.

West Fork Whiskey Cocktail Competition

Eight of Indy's best bartenders will be slingin' cocktails for a cash prize. You'll get to reap the benefits, too, as cocktails will only be $5, as well as $2 and $4 beer pours all night.

Other Cool Stuff:

Tuesday June 19

Betty Who @ Old National Centre

Betty Who is a pop star for a new generation. Her summery bops 'Human Touch' and 'I Love You Always Forever' will have you wiggling in your desk chair all day long.

The Glitch Mob @ Old National Centre

The Glitch Mob came to life near the peak of the EDM/IDM era, but haven't shyed away from creating immersive sound experiences since. Don't miss 'em at Old National Centre on Tuesday.

PRIDE: An LGBTQ Showcase

Storytelling has the power to unite and build community, and VOCAB and Speakeasy make sure that marginalized voices have a chance to tell their stories, too. PRIDE: An LGBTQ showcase will highlight the stories of people across the Indy LGBTQ community, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Indiana Youth Group.

Other Cool Stuff:

Wednesday June 20

Out in Indy: A Historic Bar Crawl Dragging Indianapolis LGBTQ History Out of the Closet (starts @ Gregs)

Talbott Street. Varsity Lounge. Greg's. 501 Eagle. Metro. Zonie's Closet. Indy's gay bar scene has a long, incredibly varied history. While some are (sadly) no longer with us, you can still learn about its history this Wednesday at Out In Indy.

Speedy Ortiz @ HI-FI

Sadie Dupruis' excellent songwriting skills have culminated into Speedy Ortiz's empowering new indie album Twerp Verse. Celebrate its April release at HI-FI on Wednesday night.

RAW: Magnify @ Old National Centre

More than 50 local artists will showcase everything from visual art to hair and makeup at Old National Centre on Wednesday. Celebrate Indy's creative community and make your walls a little more decorated while you're at it.

Other Cool Stuff:

Thursday June 21

Monumental Yoga @ Monument Circle

Indy's largest yoga event is sure to be a... monumental... occasion.

Barenaked Ladies @ Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn

We swear their song 'One Week' was on the soundtrack to almost every late-90s-early-2000s movie.

Nick Swardson @ Old National Centre

Nick Swardson's comedy certainly comes out of left field, which found a perfect home when he joined Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions. Don't miss his irreverent style on Thursday night.

Other Cool Stuff:

Come back later this week for all the best events happening this weekend.
