Let's be frank...
Forget the chains - we love hot dogs and Indianapolis has some pretty rad spots to get one. Here are some of our favorite places around Indianapolis to get your glizzy fix!

Downtown / 250 S Meridian St.
Nothing adds to a night out like a pre-game snack or late-night dog! The Saint Shack is full of tasty creations, from their bacon-wrapped ripper to their dog of the month, which is always something that will have you running there to get it, you can't go wrong with a snack at the shack.
Eastside / 5102 E 16th St
Don't let the small stand fool you - Garcia's Hot Dogs proves that you don't need an entire kitchen to create one of Indy's best hot dogs. Mr. Garcia has been slingin' dogs on the corner of 16th and Emerson since 2011, and he's got everything you'd want from a classic hot dog cart: great dogs, low prices, and the friendliest hot dog cook this side of Indianapolis.

Irvington / 5402 E Washington St.
The second you walk through the doors, you feel transported to the Windy City. The jumbo Chicago Dog washed down with a glass of Green River Soda is an unmatched combo that not many places can easily and properly recreate.
Mass Ave / 420 E Michigan St
SoBro / 5410 N College Ave
Carmel / 840 W Main St.
Fat Dan's is an authentic Chicago-style deli and pub with no fluff or gimmicks. Aside from all the Cubs memorabilia on the walls, nothing screams Chicago like their classic Chicago Dog or the Italian Sausage.

Speedway / 5211 W 10th St
We'd be really terrible citizens of Indianapolis if we didn't include it. If you're looking for the drive-in experience, Mug-N-Bun is where you need to be. Opened in 1960, this vintage spot has been a staple for people heading to the track. Stop by and snag a chili cheese dog and wash it down with that magical root beer.
Greenfield / 117 Apple St
When it opened its doors, The Mug had a simple intention: to provide a more modern, farm-to-curb drive-in using locally sourced meat and produce. The Mug offers all the classic diner items, but nothing hits the spot better than one of those hot dogs.

Speedway / 2621 Lafayette Rd.
With 50 years under their belt, Nick's has been voted the best dog in Indy by Yelp and is home to the "Not Yet World Famous Chili". Their dogs range from the All-American Dog to the Carolina (Slaw) Dog, so you know there's something for every hot dog lover there!
SoBro / 2045 E 46th St.
Bite into delicious flavors that you can't find anywhere else! GLIZ-Zs offers creative takes on classic hot dogs featuring The Cowboy with spicy slaw, chili, jalapeños, and BBQ sauce or their taco boat dog!
Downtown / 501 W Maryland St
It may not be gourmet or loaded with artisan chili, but nothing can beat the taste of a Victory Dog. 9 dogs, 9 innings, anyone?
